I'm using Windows Vista, and I type English with the Dvorak keyboard layout, and I want to be able to type Japanese text that way, too.

I finally solved it opening the Appearance Settings, Effects and changing the Clear Type setting thrown an exception.
On Windows Vista and even if I changed the -XMx1200m parameter it was still failing.
