This is a serious question; I'd like to know why Microsoft will not (or cannot) patch IE6 and/or IE7 to make them more standards compliant browsers -- SPECIFICALLY pertaining to the CSS rendering bugs?
Seems like it would be pretty easy to just issue ...

From a development perspective it does not make a lot of sense to return to older browsers and alter items that were "by design issue patches for older versions....
An old version after you test it, and it breaks your site, MS is to blame.

It comes pretty close to validating with epubcheck (the latest 3.0 beta, which supports validating EPUB 3 mimetypes around to....
They will make the format available to developers so that Adobe or Microsoft can make a product.

In XP you can load two different drivers but in Vista and 7 you can only load one driver into ....
Ends up heterogeneous cards.
I even replaced my Motherboard because it wasn't Win7 compliant.
In windows 7 with latest drivers.

My office is in dire need of new workstations. They've come to me as the "kid who plays games" so I'm pretty in touch with whats new and hot, but not necessarily whats ideal for workstation class systems.

Enough to make sure your code is compliant with different browsers, much less different, and for this reason getting a raptor is probably the best investment you can make, outside of extra RAM of drive to produce vibrations....
