Around, almost full control of my iPOD nano 8GB third generation which I charged while connected the play lists 1-8 - you can select manually on your iPOD every other play list over #8 for example tape/fm adapters for ipod....

If it happens to be stopped you can play it though.
The ipod controls but that doesn't happen so you can't pause.

Is anyone else frustrated that you don't seem to be able to do things like fast-forward, rewind, pause (although you can "sort of" do that by pressing the volume/of-off button) etc from the iDrive or even the IPOD itself.

I like to Shuffle music while I'm in the shower but I also skip about 80% of songs. Being in the shower, I can't just skip everytime I don't want to hear a song.
