How about Canon 60/2.8 macro I shoot jewellery with the 90mm tilt/shift lens which focuses very lens - beats Canon and Tamron Ifyou are shooting larger items, then you'll want a lens where you don't have to stand too far back from it.

I would go with the Canon as well the Canon 55-250 mm, again it....
The Canon also has IS which can come in handy at those long focal lengths.
It's going to be sharper than the Tamron.
Of those two I'd go with the Canon 55-200.
