Just picked one of these up as a backup body/lens. Uber lightweight to carry around when I don't need my 60D and L-series lens

I have a Canon eos 1000D ( Rebel XS) Is it worth upgrading to a Canon 550D (T2i)? Is it worth the money upgrading or should i just wait and save up for something better?

Upgrading for me depending on the situation.
And better than any other Canon, except the 1D mkIV), and of course it can shoot at 8.5 FPS.

Hopefully sometime during the course of the year, I will be updating my 1000D body. Like the better auto focus and deeper buffer of a 60D but not the size. As the sensor from the 7D migrated it's way down to the 60D and then Rebel line, is more likely...
