The car is a 2003 350z 6 speed track. Bought it used with 59,000 miles from the original owner. He had never done any mods to it and always had the dealer do maintenance.
I have had the car for almost 2 years now and its sitting at 72,000 miles. The only...

Yeah, we have hydraulic lifters....
Let me know if you find out anything helpful and I'll do? While I know the VQ tends to be a noisy engine every other 350/g35 Ive been around has never made.
The source just from looking under the hood/car.

I'm considering a new/used vehicle within the next 6-12 months.
I have a PT Cruiser which has been a reliable and incredibly convenient car for the most part.
The only thing I'd change is that I wish it got better mileage.
So in researching crossovers...

Started noticing a noise when decelerating that sounded like maybe a bearing in the front was going. Popped the hood and discovered this noise at idle. Sounds like it is under the valve cover. Took it to a mechanic yesterday who said it isn't mechanical...

I was surprised to be a classic case of contradictory MB maintenance opinions between "MB never breaks down" and normal maintenance schedules.

Hey all--
Can anyone speak either authoritatively or anecdotally to the idea that the Jeep T5 transmission should *not* get ATF and if no, what I should be putting in there?
My transmission has been rattling badly at road speed lately. At first I thought...

Thoughts?
My '97 Rodeo has 72k miles on its original motor/tranny, but according to my mechanic it sounds like s---. I'm exploring a couple options:
A) Let it die and swap in a replacement drivetrain when that time comes
B) Overhaul the original to get...

Valve train has always been a little noisy
I agree, your oil/filter again.
What does it sound like? Might just be clatter from the hydraulic lifters, very common with 140,000 miles and good for another 140,000.
