Also, with most banks you can upgrade your account (£7-£10 a month) to incorporate AA cover + national rescue + breakdown cover at home' and this is what got me a tow home once.

Pulled it off the other day and its that any outdoor car cover could mark the car if flapping around in the wind.

You should not have to pay insurance with any car rental company.
If your insurance will cover you on a rental car, definitely call and check before you book their website, saves a nice chunk of change.
