I have this car in which the inspection just expired. The check engine light is on in my car. Does this mean my car will automatically fail the inspection even if the light doesn't pertain to any safety issue?
Are there any places that are more lenient...

Go get your car scanned for free to see directly to get it inspected.
With the engine emissions it will probably fail.
