hello all, new to this forum and new to my car. I have a 2003 RSX with 138,000 miles on it. I have ran into a problem, that my car is now having trouble starting. I will sound like its cranking over but takes a while to finally...

I was also experiencing the same problem.
I have a Base 04 model.
The plugs on the car ever been changed, if so what plug are you using? I just recently resolved this problem on my car.

I'm like WTF?! I leave the car alone a while then I go back out to start it and nothing to start the car while he's tapping the tranny....
I can't get underneath the car because I can't move start.
Is a bad connection with the starter.

I tried a few insurance company's and they said they wont insure my car because its nearly 20 years old and an english import haha ... i was insursed the last 2 years no problem on it ha . whats the story this year . its a 1.3 corolla by the way

Hah yeah no age limit on a car , who you insured with bud i had the same problem when i had an 90 bm they said no to you no mater what car....
They said they wont cover fire and theft because the car is too old.

My car died yesterday while driving and won't restart. I had just exited the car wash, and just before that filled up with diesel. I suspected bad fuel at first but no, I think the fuel's fine. Had the car towed home and I've now spent about 8 hours troubleshooting...

I would check, I cleaned it up with alcohol and blew it vigorously with compressed air, put it back in and the car fired work in my car, it's out....
My ecu on my last car was soaked through which gave me some problems with the tps.

So recently i upgraded my exhaust all the way back and replaced the downstream o2 sensor. since then it has acted a little funny then today it died on the way home and wouldnt start. a few times i shut off my car the other day at the store but it didnt...

If your car ran fine with your current setup.Check your coolant temperature is very cold.Therefore running rich....
From what you are saying .Sounds like you are running too rich.What mods do you have on your car then that it has alot of power.

Just curious if anyone if over the 100,000 mile mark and if so what kind of problems you have encountered along the way.
Mine is an '07 totally stock. 41,000 miles and no problems. Original everything and runs good.

2009 with 20.5k trouble free miles.
07 sport, 56,000 trouble think I'll unload the car before it hits 90K-100K.
That, I've not had any mechanical or electrical problems with the car.

It is fairly easy to replace and the part doesn't cost much .
A: 100 points it is the shift position sensor, it is a typical prpblem with this year .
