Hello All,
I'd like to use hard fuel line from the stock pump to my aftermarket (Summit brand) carb on my '68 El Camino with a small block.

Having owned Fiats for 20 years I know how expensive it is to service the L-jetronic system. It's a good system and mine is still working fine but I have replaced the air flow meter (>$400) and the fuel pump (leaking) so they can be quite expensive...

If you want cheap, a Porsche, any Porsche injection, rather than downgrade to carb's.
There's a reason no-one uses carb's anymore.
I wouldn't either.

But somehow that lower scale number makes us measurements, while we replenish our onboard stored carb fuel and water within our livers and muscle tissues.
Low carb, even though it isn't any of our FAT at all..

I'm pretty new to going Primal but so far I like it a lot. I'm a little confused about carbs from good sources, fruits especially, vs carbs from other sources. Aren't carbs carbs?

That's a big chunk out the target 100 on the abundant veggies you get a lot more bang... .
And vegetables I was just wondering how I can eat abundent fruits when most of them carry a big carb load? A good sized apple has a carb load of 24gm's.

I'm reducing calories and taking out carbs but I'm not sure if I should take them from the simple carbs(my fruits/milk) or my complex carbs(post workout potatoes/rice etc)

Potatoes/rice etc) if you cook potatoes they become less complex of a carb - cooked foods allow more.

I constantly read a variety of sources that say carrots are a good "free" food. then another source that says 1/4 cup or carrots is 1 exchange of carbs(no I dont use "carb exchange") or the carrot package that says 5 baby carrots is x numbers of carbs...

I love the Atkins Bars, from my days on that diet. I'm giving WW a try now, but question about calculating points - can I use the net carbs or do I have to use the total carbs?

Exactly what Laura said! Something of equal fat/protein/carbs but higher fiber is likely to be less pointsplus :) ....
When you enter the grams of fat, carbs, fiber, and protein, WW's does the rest of the calculation.
Use total carbs.

Total carbs, net carbs, fiber and sugar, clarification needed I'm still pretty new to all this, so please bear with me.
I've been counting total grams of carbohydrate, period. I thought that's what you were supposed to do and it seemed straight forward...

CARB -....
Net carbs works for me.
I don't know why the US includes them in the carb them in the carb count if what matters is the nutritional content and not the chemistry of it.
Shouldn't count them for nutritional purposes.
