I'm a college student and will be losing eligibility on my parents' dental plan soon. For the time being, I won't have a job that offers dental benefits. So I need to decide what the best/most frugal options are for dental care.

My personal recommendation is to get a Sonic Care brush, my dental checkups have been much better participate....
dental insurance isn't that important, most plans cover a maximum of $1,500-$2,000 per year per person teeth.

I have been a dental assistant for 25 yrs. 23 of them have been spent working at a dental school. The other 2 in private practice. Even though the school doesn't pay as much the benefits,retirement & job security out weight working in private practice...
