I have no dental insurance since changing jobs 2 years ago. We have been paying for our care as we go. 2 adults, 2 children, 2 cleanings each per year and x-rays. It has run us about $1,200 for the year and is less expensive that paying for dental insurance...

IIRC Care Credit charges nearly 10% to the provider so you may want to try ....
GE Capital Retail Bank I used Care Credit for dental work, I was never charged any $2 fee.
