Favorite ride in a fair or carnival?
I don't trust the rides at the carnivals, my boys always beg to go on them as we drive by. I've taken them to Six Flags and let them ride away, I felt better about those rides. I love the roller coasters, the more loops and dips, the better!

Anyone out there cruised on Carnival?
In May, you will have more kids than during "school season". But, you really won't have crazy partiers on a 7 nighter. Any cruiseline will have their share on 3-4 nighters---folks are trying to get the most "bang" for their buck!

Carnival - Smoking allowed in cabins?
As careful as they are about fires at sea, I'm surprised that they allow smoking in the cabins. You can't have an iron, but you can have matches or a lighter and a lit cigarette?

Anyone Use Blog Carnival?
I host a carnival as well as post to some others. They can bring a lot of traffic and some links too. Hosting can also be a lot of work, but if you are interested in a topic there is nothing better than collecting a bunch of relevant articles in the one spot.

GH Carnival question?
I went to many festivals and carnivals when I was little and for safety reasons my dad got me into the habit of wearing sneakers with short laces or snug slip on shoes. He would make me change into clothes that weren't overly loose or baggy. He always told me stories when he worked for such events as a young man about people getting hurt because of the shoes and clothes that they wore. It really doesn't make sense to me why so many people were so dressy.
