Who does "scheduled maintenance" checkup visits on their cars routinely? I am not talking about timing belts needed to be replaced, or oil changes, tire changes etc. But the scheduled maintenance visits that are recommended by manufacturers based on time...

There's another reason for buying NEW over USED cars.
There's essentially no maintenance to do on modern gas cars other then change the motor oil at required intervals maintenance? 50%+ easily I bet.

How many of you spend the bucks to use 100% synthetic on oil changes for your fleet vehicles?

I just wanted to get a sense of what people here do in terms of maintaining their cars. I truly believe that good maintenance is they key to long term usability. No surprise there, I think this has proven itself over and over.

When I purchase a new car, my instead of new.
A sturdy wax or sealant on your paint...these cars have soft clearcoat and even an automatic car wash of our new cars since then (i.e., a few Honda's, a Toyota and a Jeep).

Lexus maintenance? The last time I owned a luxury vehicle, it was a Jag. I loved the car, but there were very few places in town (Edmonton) I could take it to for service, and it was always expensive.
I'm thinking about jumping back into the luxury pool...

As for maintenance costs, your best bet is to find the model you are looking for and ask the dealer what the scheduled maintenance is, and what it costs for each interval.
They are typically very good.

Most rental car accidents/repairs don't vehicle (unless, of course, free or dirt cheap)...idk.

If I had to pay for maintenance and repairs myself - SRT-8 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Both can haul ass, children, biatches and groceries.
