Hi,
I'm looking for a way to query the ink level for my Epson DX 4050 on Mac OS X. There is some UI called EPSON StatusMonitor to display cartridges levels graphically, but I'd like to get it from the command-line so it can feed a robot.
Any idea ?

It may be possible to poke into the StatusMonitor application... .
Either reverse engineer the StatusMonitor application to find out how it queries the drivers to find the ink level or look for some documentation for it .
This is going to be an undertaking.

But filling system was never really an issue for me the cartridges, they are all....
In fact I prefer cartridges of sac fillers anytime.
Cartridges have many advantages over bottled ink.
Haha I guess no one is! Of course there are fans .

The LAMY T10 Cartridges are pretty expensive - 1,75 for a pack of 5 T10 cartridges in stores here! (in some stores even more!)

Ive set up a ciss on my canon pixma ix6550.
However can i intermittantly use the OEM cartridges when i want to use that high qaulity canon ink. Can i do this simply by switching the cartridges around ?

I thought with the cartirdges to re-seal cartridges....
The logic for switching cartridges would be to use the canon CISS cartridges can be stored both level and higher to the CISS tanks without problem.
The current canon OEM claim of 100 yrs.
