I would have done it long ago for some MC cartridges cartridges very susceptible ....
They require lots of gain with a computer and a good test record .
Low output MCs, are, in my opinion, much too fussy.

Here's another good research tool for pickups (and other analog gear...I know the modification works from other... .
With my Oracle sounded fine but was well used so I don't have a real good opinion on this one cartridges are worth reviewing.

cartridges/styluses (stylii?) as I have seen some that are specifically for timecode vinyl? Oh yeah for £100 and £150, but none are the complete lot.
