You did not mention what you use the PC for, but I suspect just a CPU upgrade is probably not worth at all - rather what you are going to learn from the process.

Basically I love the case, if quiet is your thing simpler than the ridiculous gaming cases you'll see around (like almost every NZXT case).
Most fan ports are 120 and 140mm compatible.
