Anyone know about cctv?? I'm having a bit of a vandalism problem so was thinking about CCTV. It's not worth spending a fortune on so I'm looking for a budget system.
I know absolutely nothing so any recommendations/pointers would be appreciated.

To get decent identification from CCTV will mean you will have to spend a fortune, as even mid range to do things properly buy a decent....

2years ago i installed 2 cctv cameras out in our shed to spot cows calving, I have no audio but still they are a great help . I put the 2 cctv cables under the ground from the shed to my house which is approximately 120 meters long . These are the cameras...

Recently there has been many reports of break ins in my home area. We are pretty sure that it's being done by the some people as they would leave a lighter on purpose after the break in. Quite professional in a way and also is trying to taunt the Police...

CCTV does help you, there are no more incident happen.
Installing just a CCTV at home is not much useful unless you have someone 'guide' your house 24hrs motion detector as that can make a distinction between humans and pets...
