I have an object, dc, of type CDC and I'd like to get an HDC object.
I read the MSDN documentation here , but don't really understand it.
Can someone provide me with a brief example/explanation on how to do this?

When I print the CDC for a report control that I've created it appears tiny (less than 1 square inch on paper). How can I get the report to be printed to occupy the entire page ? Or in other words, how can I make the entire report to appear in one printed...

You should repaint the report to the printer DC with all coordinates... .
Printer resolution can be 300DPI, 600DPI or higher.
Typical screen resolution is 72 DPI (sometimes 96 DPI).
I suppose that you're not scaling your report to the printer's resolution .

In general, the standard driver doing CDC wouldn't be aware.
I am not sure about power question but ther is pleanty CDC drivers (or I think there is) so you, then it will not enumerate the device.

Unfortunately direct compatibility with GDI is not supported in ... .
Both support Windows CE / Mobile and SDL is also available for a bunch of non-Microsoft OS .
They are designed for 3D but work for 2D as well .
I think DirectX or SDL will suit your needs.
