I want to set up a cell (AT&T) based wi-fi hotspot. We have unlocked (and mature, no contract) Win7.5 phones. They don't have built-in hotspot capability. Question is do I get an unlocked wireless 3G modem and put my sim card in it, then attach a router...

Are there any WiFi locations on JVD? AT&T is our cell carrier. I'd been told we could probably pick up the St John signal from White Bay without roaming charges. Does anyone know if that works? I know. It's a vacation. Not gonna be on the beach with a...

Hi, I was just wondering if a Cell processor should do the RSX chip work.
If it's impossible, why?
Wondering about a Ps3 with a PoweCell or with more than one Cell processor, what's about a Ps3 missing a GPU?
(my question is just for wondering)

It's just not a very good use of the h/w" for the Cell....
Cell alone could not come close to delivering the games we have on PS3 - It's not "impossible" for the Cell to do the work of the RSX.
Of things a GPU needs to do.

Every tech conference I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot, has had absolutely abysmal Wi-Fi and Internet access.
Sometimes it's the DHCP server running out of addresses. Sometimes the backhaul is clearly inadequate. Sometimes there's one router ...

I'm curious about understanding how wi-fi reception works when the receptor is moving. What is the infrastructure to access internet from laptops on planes, trains, etc.?

Wi-fi for a moving laptop works only if the router is moving together with the laptop, otherwise shows that one implementation works just like a cell phone network where there are a number.

How do you connect to wi-fi on an iPod touch? I just got my iPod touch 4g today, and I can't connect it to wi-fi! The only wi-fi that shows is the one called "Westside" but that one requires a password. And I obviously don't know the password. So what...
