Hey guys.. please don't flame too hard as I know this is a common topic. I've done a bit of research, and it appears you guys have been saying that this is possible if I get an unbranded (or non ATT) phone. I'm not sure if this is still current and possible...

I actually bought/shipped a phone from Amazon....
Exists to avoid a data plan though.
For example, the T-mobile G1 overpaying for cell phone data plans .
A phone to ask if the users here think that model might be detected.

I'm trying to sync my PDA (G1 or blackberry, haven't decided yet) with
my office outlook 2003. The only software that i'm allowed to install
is active sync, nothing else.
I have two options in my opinion but i can't figure them out without
installing...

Are they just than just phones.
Acquiring Motorola's cell-phone end of the company or the entire thing? I know they make so much more, that Google is going to stay hands off on Motorola and treat it as a separate entity.
