Should SWIFT comments have some censorship?
The forums and Swift comments should be subject to the same moderation. With the reasons given for moderating language so heavily here, it seems rather silly to allow comments on the main site to be so much worse. I also agree with Jeff on the use of the word "Voldemort".

Does Music censorship violate Artistic Rights?
This debate has obviously already raged to it's conclusion when they added the explicit lyrics tag to albums. The only reason anything like that is censored is because it falls into other categories that get it in trouble. For instance, the first amendment here is the States protects our right for freedom of expression, but only as long as it doesn't infringe on another's rights. So, if a person can turn away and avoid the music, it therefor can be censored. Which is why things on the radio and tv have guidelines of what is ok and what's not.
Now thats for here in the US, obviously other nations have very different views on censorship. Look at China, the government there can basically censor anything they want with out reason for it.

What do you guys think about Music Censorship?
Music has fallen under the decency act for decades. What we are now seeing is music being less censored. Personally, I think there should be a line that one should not be allowed to cross. It is not the publics problem if your vocabulary won't allow you to use less profane words. One of the most fascinating things about older music is the creative way artist would mask the same obscene messages that cause people to pause today.

A Plausible Alternative to Censorship?
Lionsgate is still an Indy studio, and Marshall talented to a point. I thought The Decent OK, but the clipped ending remains a slight on his original intention, regardless of its value.
Again, the majority of these criticisms apply only to bigger movies from the larger studios. So-called Indy releases are often aware of their target audiences and relatively little profit margins, and as such slip by the ratings system.

What is up with Australian Video Game Censorship?
Our video game censorship might be tighter, but I'd rather still live in Australia. Tighter restrictions on firearms for one, laid-back attitude and sense of humor.
