This is VERY likely to be long and rambly. But bear with me I've had three babies, two were induced due to pre ecclampsia at 36 and 37 weeks. One was born on his own accord at 35 weeks. After 6 weeks of strict bed rest because I kept going into labor....

Do you have a problem with cervical incompetence? Yes, the average cervical had cervical checks beginning at 16wks in subsequent pregnancies just in case of cervical incompetence.

Ok I need to know if anyone has been where I'm at. My first baby was born at 34 weeks so this pregnancy has been monitored a bit closer. My cervix was measured at 8 wks and 20 wks and was within a reasonable range ... I think over a 3 but I don't remember...

I think you should ask your OB your questions.
Vaginal ultrasound is the best way to check cervical length.
Ultrasound.Diffrent women are diffrent on cervical length.you can have a cerclage put in from 13-16 preventitive.

I would think it would be ok, because you are not doing a strenuous activity .
That is a question you should ask your Peri.

Which is really not a lot.
At the hospital I go to, they normally have appointments every 6 weeks until 30 weeks .
And also the condition of your pregnancy.
I think every single practice is different.
I had a LEEP surgery in March 2010 so they want to check my cervix. I've read up on it and seems like it will be easy. Has anyone ever had a cervical length ultrasound? Do you get a chance to see the baby at all?

I think at the very least getting cervical measurements would be good and following you a bad cervical measurements as an emergency vaginal cerclage to help hold in the baby.

I think you need to go in as often as you need to to feel comfortable and your doctor .
Even if you have weekly u/s you could miss a dramatic cervical change.
Cervical changes can happen VERY quickly.
