We had a timing chain and gear put into my 1992 Ford Bronco (302 motor) NOW it only starts if you set the timing. If you set the timing and get it to run, it'll run all day if the motor is warm. If, however, you leave it set all night, it refuses to start...

The sprocket came off motor, i pulled the pan today, everything looked good .
chain has so much slop it hits the tab.

Got a 2001 SL-2 with about 190K miles and still the original timing chain on it. What are the symptoms of a worn out chain and the precautions I should watch out for. I normally do all my own maintenance but this is something I might not want to challenge...

It looks like my timing chain guides are still good, fortunately.
Doing this to address leaks and a failed water pump. New hydraulic tensioner, idler pullies, thermostat and CCV going in as well.
I'm thinking red candy powdercoat for the valve covers ...

The upper timing chain gaskets were brittle plastic, and had, so this wasn....
The lower timing cover looks that this job is a few common tools.
The CCV is unrelated to the lower timing case and chain guides.
Consuming.
