How to make tire chains This isn't a step-by-step tutorial but tire chains are simple enough to make that I think most people will get the idea.

X2 on the canadian chains mentioned above run a set of v bars on my f350 no better traction in the world.

Pre-made or make oyur own chains? Never have done this before, but I was gonna order a spool of chain for my chain saws ( Stihl top handle and pole pruner)from Baileys and start making my own, but the tech guy said it's much cheaper to get the pre made...

I purchase my chain (3/8) in a 100' spool and make.
It may depend on how much chain you go through.

I guess you might want to size your chain to your saw.
