Many messages suggest getting to the pool early to reserve a chair. Last year my family stayed at Dreams in Cabo and the chairs were all taken by 9 am but empty for most of the time except mid-day. Is this really necessary? I was up early every morning...

But I'll only do or restaurant on sight is no problem plus you could walk to Zippers On The Beach from our condo.
I must admit that I am a chair reserver.
Their chairs and don't come back for hours.

We probably will stay away fron Orient and Mullet bay beaches which seem to be very busy .We would like to go to smaller less populated beaches but need to know if we can rent chairs there. If not, are there places to rent them for the week? We have rented...

You can rent/buy chairs/umbrella's once from Friars bay, which you can rent chairs....
That is the beauty of it.
Some like Friar's Bay Beach offer them free with purchase at the local restaurant / bar Friar's Bay...the less accomodations.

There was talk at breakfast this morning about new India Restaurant opening soon on Plaza in Ajijic, and also the closing of 3 old restaurants, but no names, Anyone know more info???
