Start the bike up, hold it at about 3000-....
Disconnect the three yellow wires next to the battery (single connector with three yellow wires) .
More than likely a connector problem, but you can easily check the stator to see if that's what the problem is .

If in doubt, print off the SMC data in 5990-004 as this has both default and current values on it. .
The value in the box is the current value, the one below it is the default .
It says on the screen in the relevant SP mode .
Ok- the ammeter in my '55 shows no charge- nuttin Even if you speed up the engine it flatlines which is a new phenomenon for the car It shows discharge if I turn on the lights as it should, but nothing else I should add that at the last show of the season...

It should show very high output....
Did it charge properly when you installed.
Don't ask how i know.
And the ammeter then showed a charge, there is a way to adjust the cut-out but I am not sure I can explain can easily short something out.
I've owned this car for seven years and it has always shown 3-4 amps whenever running, regardless of engine speed. I even tried reducing idle speed as low as I could get it and made sure I had a fresh charge on the battery but the meter still reads +....

Most of these do charge a bit, but should not charge all the time.
Or regulator could be the problem.
Hey, does anyone know what is the going rate for an elctrical scan of a plant or manufacturing facility per day? (i.e. is it $800 to $1000 dollars a day or more or less)? I just want to know for pricing reasons. Thanks

I do imaging on offshore oil rigs and get alot more than posted in the electrical....
It's really simple: Half Day Rate: When a client calls, you need $1000 is what you could possibly charge.
Switchboards now and here's how I charge.
I have driven 5 different cars that have USB connections for music from usb/ipod devices -- most phones use a USB connection to charge. but this is just not available with the usb connection in the car.
