I have a MacBook Pro. The battery icon said I only have 1% and when I right click, it said 'Battery is not charging' and Power source: Power Adapter.

My solution - unplug the cord, plug it in again, and wait a few seconds .

Yes, I get this occasionally, it is nothing to ... .
I'm guessing your battery is actually full and it has made the choice to not charge.
Windows makes a good guess and only reports what the hardware is doing .
Battery level is not an exact science.

Ive been driving the MK2 around today, and found out that the battery had completely gone flat.
Its definitely not chaging, as the battery is fine.
Im sure there is a wiring fault somewhere.

It could be if it has been run for extensive time without being connected correctly be the voltage regulator if... .

This question is more on the ethics scale. I have two freelance php projects that are nearly identical to the point I can copy and paste and only change a few lines of code to be done with the 2nd job.

My phones started with this error recently, just after I upgraded to ICS. I'm thinking it might be the usb port at the bottom has failed and is crossing pins, but does anyone else have any ideas on what it might be?

It's been good for about 2 months now.
Had to do it twice before it stopped coming up .
I got some contact cleaner and cleaned the USB/charge port with a tooth pick.
Yeah I got the over-voltage error before.

Just heard that if Li-ion battery is kept at 40~60% charged, its lifetime will be longer. Is this correct? If so, are there some applications, respectively for Windows XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu, that can control charging and discharging of the battery...

Otherwise Li-ion batteries' lifetime are limited by the number of full discharge/recharge cycles (if I remember correctly.)
Battery university is a great resource and tutorial for battery issues.... .
I think that the 40-60% is for storage when not in use .
