Yeah, I know what you mean, but some people don't even like using a spell checker, plus 99% of them are setup and types the wrong word, and....
With punctuation so perhaps that's an area where your expertise could be more useful in general.

As a forum mod that's what I do.
Reading or trying to read a 5 line post talk and if punctuation is really bad.
Bad punctuation - Again, forgivable if infrequent.
