Does anybody know of good places to go? Safe overnight anchorages? Good restaurants and coves? HIstorical sites we can get to by boat?

For a good overnight stop from Solomons (about 6 hours) I would suggest Chesapeake Boat Basin at Kilmarnock and anchorages on the Chesapeake is good.
