There are 1.5 million military personel, 5% are in combat zones. Is our military too large and do we compensate non-combat personal at too high a rate, considering that 60% of military personel total compensation comes from non-cash benefits.

Well here's the thing, at least 90% of military jobs pay a lot more in the civilian world so are considered government property in the military, on duty 24 hrs a day.

If the job I am trying to get right now falls through, I will soon be looking @ joining the military. Not sure about benefits or branch yet, but I want everyones opinion here first. I know if I go into the recruiter's officeeveryone will be on me to go...
