As taking steroids increases LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) and decreases HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol, what ways can we boost our levels of HDL to better protects ourselves from plaque build-up?

As I understand their study, it did not support the theory that a high HDL, or "good" cholesterol count, it did not support the theory that a high HDL, or "good" cholesterol count, alone will protect against their study, ....

The name alone sounds so encouraging: HDL , the “good cholesterol .” The more of it in your blood, the lower your risk of heart disease. So bringing up HDL levels has got to be good for health.

Just got a blood test back today. It showed my trycliceride levels being 478, my cholesterol levels being 250+/-, and HDL being 33. Cholesterol is a little high, HDL is a little low and tri's are through the roof.

MH has just got his cholesterol levels, I think the overall level is 5.8 (lower than on diagnosis)

I don't have the trigs.
