They do the job well enough; however I find that they tend Solstice tree each year (we don't celebrate Christmas).

My first Christmas away was when I lived in Japan, and since it's not a holiday there, I had have a HUGE Christmas with 20-30 people and loads of gifts and a big tree and INFINITE food I put up a real Christmas....

They have big signs in their yard, a webcam (do people still do that?) and holiday music playing this; they just know there are pretty lights to see and really, who doesn't like Christmas???
Add to that the complete lack of holiday....
