How much snowcan a skidsteer push?
Anyone have any videos of skidsteers pushing heavy snow? I am trying to convince my partner to buy a 85 hp bobcat A300 skid steer and he doesn't think it will plow snow.

Making Plane Irons for wood planes?
If you, or your friends, all ready know how to do the metallurgy for O1 tool steel, then making blades is pretty straight forward. As others have mentioned, you don't need a cap iron, just use a thicker piece of steel. This simplifies both the construction of the plane and its use. So now all you're dealing with is a rectangular piece of metal with a bevel on one end.

Does anyone Make this tool?
Some drill press chuck have jaws with flats on the inside. These don't work well for holding small drill bits, but they do work fairly well when chucking up wooden parts in a drill press.

What wood for skin-on-frame kayak?
I think the plywood side panels were a later modification. The place the hull will flex most is where the cockpit hole is. Having a piece of thin ply glued or screwed to the deck adjacent to the cockpit is an effective stiffener without adding much weight.

How do you remove tuns of bungs?
Ah, score another one for traditional methods of boatbuilding. If they are set traditionally in shellac, varnish or paint, take a sharp awl, stick it in the middle and pop 'em out. If they are glued with God knows what, use a properly sized sharp brad point drill bit and clean up the rest with an awl or Dremel bit.
