As long as you have the correct cables and converters, it should not be a problem getting your laptop linked to the screen - you may not get full resolution or good... .
Well, you said is it to old but you have not provided the specification of the laptop .

My at work with my other DVI monitor to hook it up to my Apple Cinema.
The 22" Apple Cinema Display from 2000 has a single ADC connection.
But still result in no display.

The place is really clean and fresh - we weren't sure if they would refurbish the cinema when it re-opened (which cinema nachos in Dublin! I can imagine....
The cinema was near capacity too, so they seem to be getting a lot of business.

On personal experience I find the most important thing in cinema history was the reinvention of the Cinema and not the movies.
