Ipod Classic very slow sync, freezes Itunes, And gives errors? For about the last month, my Ipod Classic 80G has started to act up. First, it started when I would plug it in, and it would just freeze Itunes as soon as it started to automatically sync....

I tried that and it kept freezing up often so I reset it to the factory....
Any suggestions on how to fixTry holding down the menu and centre buttons until it restarts .
So now I have an empty Ipod that I can sync.
Everytime without fail.

So retaining all the songs in the iPod, this is much faster than Sync, and dont give problem like timeout and freezing iTunes.
Or playlist.

After a relaunch of iTunes, I was able to sync, when you do it.
Syncing a 160GB iPod Classic, may take a long time, so better to stop all other process or apps" directory and rename the "local" file to "local.bak".

I have restored loads, uninstalled itunes, everything, it just wont sync? It freezes itunes when i plug it in..When i do it says its syncing but then at the end it says an error occoured... Help?

Of course, restore means having your Ipod "factory set", or in other words, everything....
I don't know exactly what was wrong, but after having my Ipod restored (using iTunes to do that) I could get them in sync again.
