Chinese New Year spring cleaning gets out of hand when what is thrown out includes household pets like cats and dogs.
That is why different groups of animal rescuers are being kept busy collecting pets left out in the cold as their owners spring-clean...

The other night, I was watching TV after DH and DS had gone to bed and I ended up cleaning make sure the dishes are done, our underwear is washed, and the guest bath is clean.

I was just wondering how you divide household chores. We pretty much split everything 50/50 but I am always the one who has to point out what needs to be done around the house. Can your DH see what needs to be done around the house and actually do it ...

DH notices the dust building....
Sucks because I'll clean when I want of the cleaning jobs at home so we can both live in a clean house :) and bathroom cleaning.
cleaning is mostly my job unless I literally tell him to do it.

Just out of curiousity - for those who live with a partner, which one of you does the majority of the chores (please include gender if not well known )? And, of course, for perspective, how is the financial contribution like?

Does your wood stove create household dust? how much? My stove is EPA certified, but I don't know the brand. I got it at Ace. Anyway, it seems to create excessive dust( need to dust twice as much as summer). I burn mostly fir. I use ceiling fans to move...

Floors. . .don't mind vacuuming and mopping. There's a feeling of accomplishment after.
Cleaning the bathroom - ditto. Doesn't take long, either.
Kitchen - no big deal - hurl everything into the dishwasher - done.
