I have a 2008 Mazda 3s (not sure about GT, GS, etc.) My air conditioning unit is the standard one without climate control and wanted to upgrade to have the outside temp. feature and a little bit more control.
I found this Climate Control unit on Ebay ...

There are actually metal wires that extend out the back of the manual control unit that manually change and/or temperature, you are....
You would already have climate control if you had a GT (i think GS is a canadian and foreign trim).

It's more of a problem with the climate control, because none of the buttons even work.

I've got the dual climate control panel with the sliders for the different sides. The DS lights keep flickering off and on. I can thump the panel and they'll stay on until i change something on the panel or shut off the truck. How hard is it to change...

Many here with a wide background of automobiles, I would narrow it down to an 80s American production vehicle. Beyond that, no clue. The norm and bi-level selections have a small tab on the top for the finger to pull back out after pushed, to disengage...
