Is this a cockroach? I found it in my kitchen and im a bit worried. It looks more what i would call an earwig but would like to be sure ?

Thanks Chris, was questioning my household hygiene !! but it appears from google I’m not the only one to have found one .
Looks to me like a silverfish (lepisma saccharina) a common household pest .

Down here we have palmetto bugs...huge roaches that can fly! Just saying, isnt South Caroline the palmetto state? Yes... .
I think although they do carry disease from being in trash, they are otherwise very harmless, and that people overreact their presence .

One of my two Madagascar hissing cockroaches has been behaving strangely. I have been looking into the terrarium to find her on her back, legs waving, trying to right herself. I'm pretty sure it is the same cockroach each time. This started a few days...

We would like to stay in some lovely, clean (and definately cockroach free) apartments if anyone can help. If there is a cockroach anywhere I will spot it. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Many thanks

Never seen a cockroach in any of the accommodation I've stayed in Spain, which have included some if there is a cockroach, two and you can race them but what can you do with just one? Havent been not sure you could ever gtee a place cockroach....

Their eggs are in places out of site and hard to kill .
Roaches can eat anything.
They are like mini dinosaurs.
Its also quite disgusting too.
