We won't be waiting the 30 days to send them out based on fear of people doing refunds. We just let the dealers know which of their customers received their free switch and that it must be returned before a refund can be done. There will be a slight delay however since one of our Porsche dealers bought 50 Select pluses to include with a 997TT turbo kit that they sell the day we started this promotion. We have a few on the shelf for dealers who want to buy them for paying customers and to be able to ship out to people waiting for the promo who need one in an emergency like if something happens to their car and they need to take it in for warranty. So as soon as we get another batch from our manufacture we'll be shipping the SPS Select pluses out. Those opting for the rebate and Select will go out in batches as for legal reasons we are having cut electronically printed checks so there is a nice paper trail of who was sent rebates . Easier to do those in batches then just each days. Your local dealer can also always switch you between modes or to stock since our switching functionality is built into all of our software so in a pinch you could swing by there and they could do it for you as well. I'd say it's largely been change resistance coupled with false perception of inefficiency of garbage collection that's delayed the adoption of GC and related techniques. Of course the brain dead segmented memory model on Intel 8086 didn't exactly help promote sane memory management on the PC. source
