I've never understood why people like it so much tbh. It's not bad, but I don't see what makes it better than any other media player out there.

VLC is the whole package, the UI isn't HIDEOUS like most media players (i'm looking....
Only ever had one file from the best player.
I much prefer using Media Player Classic with the CCCP codec pack.

As zachd mentioned, you can try reload Windows Media Player by going....
It's software conflict issue or some program has disabled windows media player from opening.

After setting up Windows Media Center and adding a/any folder that contains video, to the video library, none of the videos show up in Windows Media Center video library.
What do I need to do to be able to watch my videos?

If I used Windows Media Player all my video, and resolution/fix:
Suddenly all my video files disappeared from Windows Media Center, re-added....
The folders, removed and recreated the database didn't fix it .

Hi, i have many video codecs installed on my machine but Virtualdub only lets me choose from a very basic selection.
Do i have to manually point VirtualDub to the codecs somehow?

DirectShow codecs such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.
Requires a Video for Windows (Vfw) compatible codec to decompress video.

I have Windows 7. When I play a video in Media Player it will only play the audio and not the video. Is there a repair for this problem?
