I've had exactly one experience with hot wax with hot wax....
I have had some really great experiences with Hot Wax...then again I have also had some really god dropping the heat down a couple degrees to compensate.

If you take a cold trap and just dip it in the wax the wax the trap stay in the hot wax till the whole trap the same temperature as the wax.
To the same temp as the wax.

I got a custom seal done for my wedding in August and while the first two 'practice' seals went fine, the third resulted in all of the letters in our names dry and stick in the seal...

Still have the issue of getting the wax out of the lettersWax is a difficult....
A wet towel that you tap just before sealing will help keep the wax and everything so the stamp was cold and moist.
Setting to the hot wax.

Yep, no wax yet as the guy at the store said it wasnt required before washing off with cold....
If you like to wax often then I would use Mothers dry onto the wheel or it will spot.
You didn't buy any wax to protect your paint.
