Chronic Diarrhea - Not IBS, Crohn's or Colitis, So What Is It?
Personally, it doesn't sound like inflammatory bowel disease, but there's still a chance it could be Crohn's disease. Crohn's disease can occur anywhere from your mouth to your anus. So if it was in your small intestines, a colonoscopy wouldn't necessarily show it. source
Chrons and Colitis pain?
My pains vary actually from cramping, severe enough at times to feel like labor pains, to stabbing and sometimes even a burning pain. Crohns can also cause constipation not just diarrhea although diarrhea is more likely to happen than becoming constipated. source
Ceftin and colitis?
I'd say if it coninues think about going to a doc, just to make sure everything is alright. With your LLMD on vacation maybe there is another doc that you can make a quick appointment with. source
Anyone asked their Dr about Crohn's or colitis meds?
My GI had me try Pantessa which I think is a generic version of Asecol just for the hell of it to see if it had any effects but it didn't. This was before doing a colonoscopy and rulling out Crohns. source
Antibiotic Associated Colitis Disqualifying?
So about three and a half months ago I had shoulder surgery done to correct instability in my right shoulder. About one month ago I had symptoms associated with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Crohn's Disease. These both I know are disqualifying as they are chronic problems. However the problem has completely gone away now and I think the cause of the symptoms were from the antibiotics that I took for my shoulder. My gastroenterologist agreed that the antibiotics were a possibility. So, since I know the cause of the symptoms and pretty much am fully capable of preventing another episode, is this still considered chronic and disqualifying? source
