I used to wear purple a lot, ....
I use the Almay color eyeshadows for green & hazel is green.
Eyes look more blue, browns/purple more hazel, etc.
A purpleish color and a light green also make my eyes pop.
Palette the most right now.

That contour around the cast shadow is interesting, I think because it's not very dominant it works it works extremely for a beginner as ....
Is exciting! I don't know what I like more, the cast shadow or the pinks in the red pepper.

8 x 10 on Arches CP 140 with WN paints, mostly Winsor blue (red shade) and quin magenta.
I think I'll leave the background white with this elephant also, and maybe just add some texture to the yellowish ground. Not quite decided yet.

As for the direction of the shadow, I've seen people literally draw a circle to stand for the light source for that suggestion.
