How do you obtain optimum fuel burn on an O-320 with a combined EGT and CHT gauge.
I assume the EGT needle moves at the same rate as the CHT, i.e. as the cylinder temperature gets cooler it is because the exhaust gas is cooler.
Do I lean using the CHT...

Lots of good stuff online, start by googling Pelican's Perch and John Deakin .
CHT however, is the limiting temperature (cool CHTs are much better for the cylinders) .
Leaning is done by reference to the EGT because it moves pretty much instantly .

My "problem" is still that while I get a normal graphics, cpu, physics score my overall combined score is too low.
I know this issue has been addressed before but still I haven't found or heard of a solution or what is the actual cause of the low performance...

The combined score remains the same with 2 and3 cards clocks too but with 2-way SLi and still he gets a higher combined score than me 6600points vs 5900points.

So I've been calculating recent tanks and have averaged 32-33 mpg. 32 matches the EPA combined estimate so it's an acceptable number for me. However, my renewed interest in squeezing out the best MPG possible had me switch to mild hypermiling on this ...
