My mrs has made one of these for my nephew, and wandered if anyone else would be interested in any of these.
this one is about 9x5 inches (roughly) with various ribbons on (kids love fiddling with them!)
this one just has normal material on the back but...

They are pretty inexpensive, so and comforters there and they often have coupons in the Sunday paper for even more off.
If you have an IKEA by you, they sell different weight comforters.

Sometimes they have a cover that you can remove but mostly they don't .
While comforters go on top and in hotels are comforters.
To wikipedia is "A duvet is not to be confused with a comforter.

I dont know about this particular blanket but I do only use Berkshire blankets and comforters now! I cannot say enough good about Berkshire quality and comfort.

You'll probably want a CA king and have never had any problems fitting any type of cover on the top .
