Hi, I'm looking for free fonts that are similar to Comic Sans, but that aren't actually Comic Sans.
Why not Comic Sans itself? Well, its been overused, its too easy to recognise, I want something a bit more distinctive. And also: because of this .

Which is the point :-)
Blambot.com has a number of high-quality free and pay comic lettering fonts.
I know, it's not very much like Comic Sans.
Helvetica.

I alway say that it depends on the comic? For example my main comic starts....
Plus, its quite handy if someone wants to read my comic but doesn't like reading off a computer screen whether online is better than going straight to print.
