You also need to pass in the user URI as well - for example:

There should be a separate Domain property of NetworkCredential that you should be using .
Two things to note:
Username should not contain the domain.

I installed Windows 7 on a Lenovo T400 laptop. In the Device Manager, the only piece of unrecognized hardware is a "PCI Simple Communications Controller". Does anybody know what driver I need for this?

It will take a bit of work learning how to use Ethereal .
The SMTP protocol is all ascii, so once you see whats inside the TCP connection, you should be good to go .
Try Ethereal - its a free network protocol analyzer.

I've just installed this patch on a Live Communications Server 2005 server and LCS is refusing to start.
I'm getting a wonderful event log claiming that the LCS instance is an expired evaluation (!)

Microsoft's Knowledge Base that say that there is an incompatibility and don't do it!
Apparently, uninstalling the patch fixes LCS / OCS .

I use the older UNIX agent myself, which uses port 6101 IIRC - but I believe that the newer client uses tcp... .
Also, RALUS can dump a log file - which may give some more to go on .
Try stopping iptables, and running again.
Sure sounds like firewall issues.
