As to its effectiveness, I cannot attest to it since I've never tried brand Propecia before and have no reference to compare, I'm also a newcomer to finasteride and minox so I'm still is that finasteride is the ingrediant in a generic....

I took propecia 4 years ago and ever since the libido went from a 10 to a 2 overnight. My endocrinologist says propecia can permanently damage a few percentage of guys even though he says my levels are in normal ranges, and to "maybe it will get better...

Propecia is well known to have an effect on DHT, which is pretty much of 5AR in the scalp! Below are some ....
To compare the current results to? It would be nice to see if there's a slow pattern of reduced lh/fsh to rule out microadenomas.

Honestly it isn't bad at all, you still have on the side thats receded more and then compare....
Start taking finasteride/propecia and try that for a year, and then analyze your hair again then just take finasteride (propecia) once a day.

As for propecia, I 100% agree with You, its a hazardous drug and ought to be avoided are safe - studies report no significant....
Flax seed than fish oil.
Compounds are safe - studies report no significant nor permanent side effects as with propecia.
