Having a fairly old laptop, I only have Scale open programs neatly tiled....
It places all windows within a workspace (or all open windows) scaled in rows and columns for selection.

Today I've sync'ed my portage and now it wants to delete my compiz.
Is there any news explaining this move? I had no luck finding any
Moving it to the overlay automatically makes compiz Experimental, doesn't it?

Everytime I close a window, it wont disappear until I move another window over the ghost

That makes it sound like something still has the windows open) are not intercepted by the "open" window....
That is an odd bug.
If that works, it sounds like compiz is missing/not sending a close event for a window strange.
To redisplay.

Mmm, I do not know about that but we (precise 12.04) did get an update to Compiz the other day found out some of the Compiz effects were not integrated too well with Unity.

It has been a while since I've used compiz, so I don't know if it has a setting like that, but there is an XFCE setting that can do what you need, and I think it will work with Compiz too.

Changing compiz to metacity with compiz icon takes no effect....
Core i3-530, 16gb ram, nvidia gt240 512mb.
There is a workaround that seems to work for me:
alt+f2 to open a command line
Code: unity 270.41.06-0ubuntu1, no unity.

With the compiz in 11.10 proposed it appears to be fixed, at least if using wall

I just upgraded to 11.10 and am happy to say that the Compiz enhanced zoom still works, Compiz eZoom works with Unity 2D?
When you zoom in, is the desktop area the only area zoomed, or does, if not all, Compiz plugins.

What window placement method do you have set in CompizConfig modifying the values but it doesn't effect... .
It's certainly a Compiz issue.
Cipherboy I'd heard of problems in Compiz with windows scooting their way off issue.
For that one window.
