You would have to use the bundled software, you can use what ever sounds you like in Garageband, or indeed go signal into the digital realms....
In on the macbook, but the results may not be that pleasing, and you may have distortion issues.

Depending upon the age of the computer and the OS, there may be known attackWindows has the shutdown /m \\computername command built in, but for Linux you probably would have to install ssh and use ssh root@computername....
